Our Remembrance
I can’t believe you left us, I can’t believe it’s real.
It was really on your birthday, I can’t imagine how you’d feel.
You talked to me last, you didn’t seem off.
You were going shopping, but I guess you got lost.
Your girls miss you, they keep asking where you are.
I didn’t know what to say, so I told them “daddy’s sleeping in the stars.”
I’m so incredibly mad and sad, but I hope you’re finally at peace.
Just know we truly loved you, and I hope once again, we’ll meet.
