Our Remembrance
This is my older Brent. I was on 19 years old when he left us. His presence has been missing from our family for 22 years now. Longer than I was alive at the time it happened. Yet he is still missed, and the structure of my family has never been the same since. The gap never closes. When you leave those you love, you forever rip a hole in the fabric of your family and nothing, not time, not anything, can piece it back together. I love you, Brent.
