Our Remembrance
Marie Watson, born on June 27, 1989, in Coffeyville, KS, passed away on August 1, 2024. Nicole was the cherished daughter of Douglas Allen Watson and Robin Lee (Eastham) Watson. She was a dedicated and hard-working individual, known for her roles as a waitress at True Lies Cafe and a medical assistant at Wilson Chiropractic.
Nicole's greatest joy was her family. She spent nearly 13 beautiful years with her significant other, Jamie Cantu. She created countless cherished memories, especially while fishing, horseback riding, camping and spending time camping at the lake with her children and mom. She adored her children, Aviana, Dominic, and Rylan Lance Parra, and valued every moment spent with them. She was a carefree loving lady that put everyone above herself. She thoroughly enjoyed crafting and painting.
Nicole leaves behind her sweet children, Aviana, Dominic, and Rylan Lance Parra, and their father, Steve Parra. Nicole is also survived by her mother, Robin Wren, and her father, Douglas Watson, along with his wife, Mary Ann. She will be deeply missed by her brother, Dustin Allen Watson, and his wife, Sami Jo, as well as her sisters, Jennifer Apel and Ashley Hendrix and he husband Chris; half-siblings, Abigail andJaycee Watson, Michael Cooper, and Kayla Tompkins. She is also survived by her fianc, Jamie Cantu, and his son, Jamie Cantu, II. Numerous nieces and nephews will also carry her memory in their hearts.
Nicole was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth and Brenda Eastham and Clifford and Louise Watson, as well as her great-grandparents, Jack and Darlene Eastham.
Friends and family are invited to gather for a visitation on Thursday, August 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Carlson Colonial Chapel. Her funeral service will immediately follow, and she will be laid to rest in Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Carlson Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses. Nicole's loving spirit and the memories she created with those who knew her will forever be treasured.
